And in your hand
The Promised Land
The universe at your command
To ecstasy from dispair
Jaegermeister will take you there, oh yeah!

Yeahhh!!! It totally rocks!!! Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Sorry, but I just had to share that with someone! I was (badly) singing this from incomplete memory driving up the M6 last night, and have been playing TBWTB on repeat since I woke up this morning. I just totally love this song! Cool

@Intoxicata: I was playing the album all morning, with Jaegermeister getting repeated quite a bit, I just kind of felt something silly was called for. Cool I am going to have to find somewhere that sells it!

@Ametyst: Yes, you're valid for the poll, but unless Intoxicata has suddenly developed a taste for Earl Grey and Mozart, you missed the option I included just for you! Mr. Green

An option just for me?! wow! puzzled *feels famous?*

Actually I was VERY tempted to vote for the quiet and tea stuff - it is just the choral music that kind of gave me second thoughts hehe. I am not too much into Gregorian Chants ... but on the other hand, I couldn't stop listening to Qntal's last album all these past months so I suppose 'choral' in a wider range of its meaning would probably fit... Hey, you know what, I just changed my vote! wink

...Didn't I tell you that this was /the/ track on the album Jack :\)
It gets my vote, even over my previous favourite 'Old Hornie' (which you've had been able to hear on my Clie if the battery hadn't been drained that day).

After Whitby I can honestly say it's even better live, and makes a truly fantastic encore. I just hope Wytchfest has a decent sound rig, if so Saturday night should be one hell of a show.

I tried it yesterday, and I've officially got a new favourite. Which is good, as I think they sell it in every wine and alcohol store in Norway. Mr. Green
Couldn't stop singing the song either. But that's nothing new when it comes to me and Inkubus Sukkubus' songs, though..

I checked it out recently, and it costs 280 kroner for a 75 cl. You are british, right? In pounds, that will be approximately (and keep in mind that Norway is an expensive country, especially when it comes to alcohol, so this is not for the fainthearted): 25 pounds. Brick wall

Come to Norway, the glorious mountainrich country with the beautiful fjords and pints that costs 7 pounds!
...or stay were you are, that's my advise to you..

Hehe, a little bird told you? wink
I am actually not sure if that is the price for all of Germany. That was the price in the stores I went to, however, it might also just be the regional low price because the Jaegermeister-factory is 'just around the corner'. So maybe this is not representative.

I actually have recently found out that there are sources in Germany that sell it even cheaper! Unfortunately, this source is only available with 'connections' ph well

LOL! I know the bit you mean!

Though when it comes to drinking, instead of singing, you'd do better to imitate Candia - she usually has control of the bottle! Mr. Green

Hehehe, indeed. When thinking how large thay bottle is it is amazing how quick it empties...
By the way Ametyst, what does it say around the edge of the label on the Jägermeister bottle? It's something in German and I can only make out a couple of words, something about hunting...

Think ... ummm....

*walks off to find her bottle of liquid herbs*

Well, it's kind of difficult to translate - they use words that are not necessarily used in every day German and it all is in a kind of rhyme. I can give you the translation as good as it would come out though hehe:

"It is the hunter's honour that he protects and cares for his game, that his hunting [killing!] is fair and honourable and that he honours the Creator in those beings [the animals, the game]

Sounds quite nice in German though hehe. Have never read it before

I've never noticed it before, but I tend to care about the little details when having reached a certain level of consumption... (Before I reaching the level of not caring about anything but the big details: Jägermeister on the table, Inkubus Sukkubus on the CD player, that I want to dance yet seem to have an awful lot of left legs at the moment... You get the picture! tricksy )

How much is it for a 1.75 liter bottle over there? Cause the cheapest I've found it here across the pond is 64 american. Might be cheaper in other states though. I wanna get my dad a bottle for xmas, he's never had it before, but I don't wanna go broke on something he may not like. I can't find smaller bottles so it's gotta be a big one. Brick wall

For the most part the people here in florida assume the only drinks in the world are bad whiskey, cheap tequila, crappy vodka and watery beer.

Hmmn. I did that once and tried to drag some German guy into my bed- literally Yum! . (He was a goth, extremely good looking and it was a LARGE bottle of absinthe!) I went completely out of control- my boy friend didn't try to stop me, he said it was like 'my inner demon got out'. I don't remember much about that night, thankfully. And I've done absinthe since with no problem...just remember kids- they banned it for a reason! It's extremely hallucinogenic and will drive you potty if you drink lots!

They banned it for the halluciogenic reason but the one you can buy nowdays only has traces of it and does not have that effect at all anymore. That's why it was allowed back on the market. The only effects you can get nowadays from Absinthe are the ones from its alcohol content Mr. Green
